Can you answer these Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban questions?
I’ve read all of the Harry Potter books and have seen all of the movies. I’m rereading the series again and popping up with A LOT of questions. Can anyone help? These are just for Book 3:
1) Why is Proffesor Lupin the only proffesor to take the Hogwarts Express to Hogwarts?
2) How long is the train ride to Hogwarts?
3) Why doesn’t Dumbledore allow Proffesor Snape to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts? Surely Dumbledore isn’t worried about the superstition of the job being jinxed (therefore preventing anything tragic from happening to Severus Snape)?
4) What does a Gamekeeper do exactly?
1 Lupin is put on that train to protect Harry Potter
as is later shown he is one of the order of the Phoenix
a group dedicated towards protecting against the evil
that he who cannot be named is guilty of perpetrating
2 Not sure if an actual time was ever mentioned
but it could be more tahn 5 hours
3 Dumbledore does not want to place Snape into a position where he may fall under the influences that could turn him back into a death eater, besides Snape excells at potions
and who better to teach than a master
4 He is responsible for the grounds and all manner of the creatures that dwell within
