Eric Hill
Jose Vidro for Eric Gagne?

I have Gagne, Hoffman, and Valverde as my RP’s so i have plenty of saves. I have an empty IF spot. Is this a good deal? If not how can I improve it?

The other team’s remaining infielders are loney, k matsui, y escobar, k greene, k kouzminoff, and a hill.

Vidro is not the player I’d take out of those choices and I don’t think he has the value of Gagne. Saves are a category that you can’t make up very well and sometimes we panic because we don’t think we have anyone or we can’t find anyone on the waivers, but in the end of April, we are wishing we didn’t do the trade.

If I were to trade for one of the IFs, I’d get Loney because he has a great stat line (41,15,67,0,.331 in 344 ABs). Assuming he gets 600 ABs this year, that’s like 75 runs, 28 HRs, 110 RBIs, 0 steals and a BA of .331. Now he may not produce all of these numbers, he might do better. So before giving away a closer, for a guy who hit 6 HRs, and had 59 RBIs (0 steals) in 550 ABs, try the waivers or a guy like Loney instead. I don’t see how Vidro helps any team out.
