Do you ever wonder as to why you get youtube friend requests?

I’ve gotten several lately from people who don’t appear to be up and coming wanting exposure or anything, just with random vids they’ve posted and no personal messages, it makes me wonder why they are making a friend request… what made them seek me out? If they liked my vids they would have posted some kind of message or comment right? So, I just wonder why they are seeking a friend request from me personally…that’s all

Don’t think that just because they did not leave any messages or comments they do not like your videos. Sometimes I like someone’s videos a lot and I just rate and add as friends to distinguish as better from my subscriptions. But it might be that those people want people to see their videos and want you as friend so that they know that you check them out and if you accept them you will see their videos on your homepage and might watch them.
I might have unusual methods but I usually check them out and accept if they have videos that I like or not a lot of videos. But if they don’t seem interesting or have so many friends that 1 won’t make a difference i just refuse.
