What is a great book for determining what kind of wild plants you can eat?
I am a hiker and want to get more into long long trip hikes. I want a book that will help me to figure out what type of plant it is i am looking at and thus help me rule out without a doubt if it is ok or not, also i dont want a book that just says a plant name and then whether its safe or not….that wont help me at all. Any ideas would be great!!! thanks
This book, The Illustrated Guide to Edible Wild Plants, looks decent. It looks like it’s from the US Army. Maybe you could find it at a local library so you won’t have wasted any money if it’s not what you’re looking for. There are other books you can find on Amazon too, just google: “Edible Wild Plants books”.
