Summer reading list? I cannot pick a book!?

I’ve been reading the summaries of 9 books that my English teacher next year gave to us. Each student has to pick one book to read and do a report that she specified. I have been doing research on these books for almost and hour… and stupid me, I cannot pick one out!

Memoirs of a Tennage Amnesiac by Gabrielle Zevin
Monster by Walter Dean Myers
Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
Stuck in Neutral by Terry Trueman
Breathing Underwater by Alex Flinn
Boot Camp by Todd Strasser
Code Talkers by Joseph Bruchac
Forged by Fire by Sharon Draper
Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen

If you have read any of these books, please tell me if you would recommend it or not. Thanks so much!

Here’s my take:

Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson: Currently reading. I don’t like the writing style myself. Friends have told me it’s incredibly boring, and sad. Not at the top of my books list.

Stuck in Neutral by Terry Trueman:
I read this recently, and loved it. It’s a short book, but it’s powerful, and I really liked the writing style. I definitely reccomend this.

Breathing Underwater by Alex Flinn:
I read it’s companion, and I am reading this now. So far, so good. Definitely a worthwhile read.

Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen:
I have yet to finish this book, but all of Dessen’s other books have been fabulous, and a delight to read. Highly reccomended.

I haven’t read any of the others, Sorry!
Hope this helps!!
