Mama mia viewers do you think Applegate should have bene considered?
Do you think maybe instead of Street, Applegate or Kidman should have been Donna; I love Street and she is a great actress, but I kind of figured a younger actress would have been better considering the line. however, Street was great for her part as far as acting went; she was not the greatest singer. Applegate and kitman sing better. I think maybe Street could have planed the friends, but they were great too. Phiefer was considered, from what I read, but even she was not ideal; I mean she is more youthful looking and a better singer.
I know they are both young, but the charactor was supposed to be a young actress. The musical it was based on did not mention the mother's age, but the actresses varied, so you can't really go by that. The daughter was only 20, so realistically speaking I think they should have used somebody younger.
I hope I did not offend anybody because she did a great job, but was just the fact that the movie seemed to imply that she was a young mother.

applegate and kidman are too young.....the movie is based on the musical....and in the musical the character is older than those actresses.
plus streep did a good job in that film
