Is the US right to worry about the growing strength of al-Qaeda’s support in Britain?
What should the UK government do?
“the growing strength of al-Qaeda’s support in Britain has emerged as a major concern for U.S. intelligence agencies as they attempt to prevent further attacks after Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, a Nigerian student who studied at London’s University College, nearly succeeded in detonating an explosive device that he had concealed in his underpants as Northwest airlines flight 253 made its final approach to Detroit airport.”

……………
The Daily Telegraph must sell copy and in order to do so it must add excitement to a dull news story. Now apparently, this anti-British Catholic rag thinks we all support al-Qaida – how effing insulting.
Personally I would not be seen dead throwing out my trash wrapped in the DT let alone actually read that filthy guttersnipe rag.
UK has always been full of terrorists, so what? It’s nothing new. This after all is the country which gave protection both to Karl Marx and then to most of the Russian Revolutionaries before WW-One.
People need to grow up – UK is not gripped by terrorism nor the fear of it. On the other hand I note how Americans in NYC quite recently began screaming and running about when they saw a plane overhead.
They cannot scare me, I was born in 1941 right here in London when it really was a bloody dangerous city.
