Do the girl scouts uphold the same policies as the boy scouts?
Meaning, do the Girl scout have the same anti-gay policies as the Boy scouts? I have heard they are a separate organization. And if so, do I need to stop buying their cookies?
No they do not!
They accept lesbian members as well as troupe leaders. They do not subscribe to the same discriminatory policies as the BSA.
So Keep buying those Girl Scout Cookies! Besides, they’re really yummy!
But strangely enough, I still support the Boy Scouts, I just wish they would stay out of public schools. My brother went through scouting and it did him a lot of good. They teach boys valuable life and civic lessons. I my disagree with their policy on gays, but I can’t completely be non-supportive of the work they do and the safe place for boys to learn.
