whats the theme for charlotte zolotow’s “missing you” besides friendship? please help im no good at figuring out themes…
here’s the poem..
Once we laughed together
By the river side
And watched the little waves
Watched the little waves.
Now I walk
Along the bank.
The water’s very blue
And I am walking by the waves
Walking by the waves
Missing you.
in the second stanza the poet is saying that the water is very blue. she is talking about how she is missing her friend and how she has become sad and nothings seems as good anymore; like walking by the river. also a theme is a statement like…. you don’t know what you have until you have lost it. its more like that then one word in particular like “friendship” i hope this helps good luck.
