Do you prefer audio books on cassette or CD?
Normally, I like real books. But I’ve been driving a good deal of late so picked up an audiobook on cassettes. One would think this format is better as the book leaves off exactly where you hit “stop.”
you don’t use CD players often do you?
first off, in my car if i hit the pause button it will hold my spot. if i turn off the car it will still hold my spot on my CD even though i didn’t even pause it first. regular CD player stereos (like the kind you have in your room or something like that, or even portable) will not save your spot and start where you left off, but the kind in the car does. why the difference, i don’t know.
though cassettes last longer because they are more durable, CD’s have conveniences too.
in the end, i read my books not listen to them… i haven’t used audio-books since i learned to read when i was 4. and as of now.. i couldn’t listen to a book in the car if i wanted to anyways. my kids are way too loud. but if i could i’d choose CD. i don’t even have a tape player in my car lol!
