whats the point of selling books online for a penny?
So Ive just started selling textbooks on Amazon and Half.com….Ive noticed many people selling books for 1 cent or 5 cents! Whats the point of it? It will cost more to package it up and drive to the post office, not to mention postage. What am I missing?
The book dealer is trying to clear out their shelves.
They do make some small change on the postage. They can buy it online get free packaging from the post office, and don’t have to drive down there, just leave it out for collection. Most media rate shipping is about 2.57, and if they charge 3.99 for shipping they keep the change. It adds up if they sell a few hundred.
But mostly they want to clear out old stock.
