Pony Pony
What classes are there at pony finals?

I live on the east coast and want to go to pony finals. I mainly ride my large pony but I also fit on a medium pony we have. Also how do you qualify for pony finals? Also, what is the oldest age a person can be in each division? Thanks!

You just asked this question a couple days ago so if you didn’t see my answer:

On top of the Green pony hunter and regular pony hunters there is also Pony Jumpers and Pony Medal classes. For the green pony divisions there are no age restriction on the rider but for regular smalls the rider must be under 13 years old, mediums under 15 years old and larges under 18.

To qualify you must win at least a Champion in a “A” rated show or Reserve at a “AA” rated show.

The competition is VERY tough at the pony finals. Many of these ponies costs a couple hundred THOUSAND dollars and just the stabling and entries fees are expensive.

Also, I noticed you said east coast… the pony finals are in Kentucky now so you need to consider the cost of trailering there and how much your trainer will cost since you also need to pay for his/her expenses.
