what is a good intro sentence for an essay comparing growth in characters in two stories?
i dont really care if it pertains to the two stories, but they are rules of the game by amy tan and check0outs by cynthia rylant
I can't give you any kind of an opening sentence because I haven't seen your essay.
What I do is write the opening paragraph (and sentence) after I write the body of my essay. Since the opening should introduce what I'll be writing about, it makes sense to base it on what's to follow.
So my suggestion to you is to write the body of the essay first and you'll find your opening. Good luck!
