Excellent Condition
How much should I price a 2001 Mercedes ML420 with 7,000 miles in excellent condition?

You read that correctly… 7,000 miles. We did not drive it much at all, it was the backup.
V-8 Silver ML430.. my mistake.

Wrong engine size.

The ML came with a 320 as the standard engine in 1998. Somewhere along the line they came out with a ML 430. They never made a 420.

The 430 was a V8 engine. Bad gas mileage. With gas hitting $4 a gallon and still pretty expensive people just are not interested in low gas mileage SUVS.

If it is in great shape the low mileage should compensate for the engine. Figure $20,000 to $25,000.

A word of caution and warning. With only 7000 miles on it, if you have the original tires you should switch them out, specially if you live where you have hot summers. The tires are seven years old and may have substantial dry rot and could blow apart at any time. If someone takes it out for a test drive and one goes, you are liable for the injury.
