Animal Ark Series
How did you like the Time novels by Madeleine L’ Engle?

A Wrinkle in Time is and always will be my favorite book. I also thoroughly enjoyed the second book, A Wind in the Door. But after that the series starts to seem dry, and boring…and sometimes just plain WIERD.

A Swiftly Tilting Planet was just too wierd and I also found it a little bit dry

Many Waters was extremely dry and boring and not even appropraite for the many sixth graders out there who would be reading a Wrinkle in Time. Everybody just sits around in the desert and nobody DOES anything until the last two chapters. There is no description of the flood or the animals getting into the ark or any of the famous parts of the story of Noah’s Ark.

An Acceptable Time was really slow and even seemed a little bit evil since the whole story was about blood sacrifice. I only enjoyed reading the second half of it. Now was L’ Engle trying to say the woman at the end who healied Zachary was magic?

I absolutely LOVED A Wrinkle in Time. I loved to concept and everything. A Wind in the Door was very good too. A Swiftly Tilting Planet wasn’t as good, but I still enjoyed it. I agree with you on Many Waters. I read it in 6th grade and couldn’t even finish it it was so slow. Normally I finish books, but that one was WAY to dry. I didn’t read amymore after that, so I don’t know about An Acceptable Time.
