Why do my canned goods have black goo on them?
My canned goods are stored in two separate cabinets. About three months ago, I pulled some out and noticed they were sticking to the bottom of the cabinet with some very sticky black goo. Thinking something must have leaked I cleaned it up and thought little about it. Then today I pulled some canned goods from another cabinet with more of the goo on it. This time the black goo is on the bottom and you can see it under the label. What could this be?
You are right it is goo. I don’t think you should eat the canned food because it might have gone bad.
