World War Ii Weaponry: From Atom Bombs To Biological Warfare

By dropping atomic bomb, the most devastating weapon in human history, on Japanese civilian the United States had ended World War II. By engaging a small team of the topmost scientists this weapon of mass destruction was developed under complete secrecy as part of a huge research program. When the war ended the United States churned out the rubble and chaos to find out how much its enemies had advanced in their secret programs for weapons development. They found that in comparison with the Manhattan Project the Germans’ progress in developing atom bombs was in a primitive stage. But in other spheres the Germans and the Japanese had advanced and to measure that the United States became preoccupied.

The U.S. got busy in collecting information on two weapons in particular that had nothing to do with conventional warfare but had the capability to impose far-reaching consequences. Basing on volumes of information gathered from German and Japanese experiments applied on POWs, concentration camp prisoners and total civil populations, the U.S. carried on its enemies’ research programs in biological warfare and mind control. Some war criminals even it employed as consultants at Fort Detrick to continue the programs with experiments for which the guinea pigs were U.S. soldiers and citizens.

Effort needed for development of non-conventional weapons during postwar period was altogether different from that had been used for producing a super-bomb capable of wiping out a city totally. Not depending on physics and chemistry to master the fundamental forces of nature, these novel weapons would delve into the fields of psychology and biology to create impact on normal functioning of biological and psychological processes so indispensable for human biological and mental health. The U.S. would thus be able to push diseases as to its desire for psychological or biological war. Such weapons had the potential to be more devastating than the atom bomb not only because the control to of both mental and physical health to a scale hitherto unknown would be at their whims but significantly all their tests and applications could be carried out totally behind the curtain.

If you really want to understand – our giving you 2-3 paragraphs on each theatre is NOT going to help you. They were tremendously different.
1. Germans/Japanese
2. Allies/Primarily United States w/some Aussies and Brits
3. Completely different weather.

Here’s a hint: You can’t sum up WWII. You can’t live off “the background.” You have to read, read, read and LEARN about it in its entirety. This can’t be accomplished in a few hours the night before an assignment is due.
If you “honestly don’t understand what really went on” you have an obligation to those who fought the War to learn and understand it. Only by their sacrifice are you able to ask others to do your work for you.
In other words (mine): NEVER joke or be sarcastic about WWII.
