Can I send my kids to any school in one county that I live in or does it have to be in a certain zone?
I want to move and the neighborhood that I am moving to is good, but the school is really bad! Can I send my kids to different schools?
If you are in the USA, at least in my area, you can send your kids to any school you would like as long as YOU pay for their transportation. That being said, if your child misses school due to a transportation issue, it may not be excused if you do not send your child to the one designated to them. Also, if you live in an area where there is snow, find a way to find out about school cancellations. It may not be listed on your local weather, if it is way out of jurisdiction. But, it may be different in different areas. My dad sends me to a school that is a 50 min drive both ways for us, but he did not want the school in our home district. I would contact the school you wish to send them to, and see what the enrollment requirements are. They may need to take a placement test to see where they are, as that school may be ahead or behind of where your child last went to school. Good luck!
