Should I sale my daughters cloths in cosignment or at once upon a child?

I have all the cloths for my 2 year old daughter for the past two years. Will I make more selling them at consignment or at once upon a child or ebay somewhere else. I need the money to buy new clothes since I am currently not working.. Thanks for your help.

I used to work at Kid to Kid, which is the exact same thing as Once Upon A Child, but different franchise, so I know all about this!!

You are going to make the most money selling them youself, obviously, but it is the most work. You have to take pics, post them, ship them (for ebay), etc. Consignment pays out more than OUC would, but at OUC you walk out with cash on the spot. Consignment you have to check everything in, and wait for it to sell. Most consignments pay out 40-50% of what it sells for on clothing (that means, if it’s half off you only get 25% of original price). But you have to wait until it sells and they send out checks once a month or so. I know K2K pays 25-35% of their selling price on clothing, and I know that it’s the same at OUC, but they give you cash up front and you don’t deal with it ever again.

It’s all about how much work you want to put into it. Selling yourself is most profitable, most work. OUC is easiest, but lowest payback.

Also, I’ve never consigned, but I’ve heard lots of stories about how expensive, designer things mysteriously “got lost” and other sketchy things like that… But it’s up to you!
