What does this quote mean by William Shakespeare?
“A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a man knows himself to be a fool.” William Shakespeare
I just thought this was a interesting quote and would like to hear what you guys think about it, the meaning.
I believe it says everything right inside the quote. “A fool thinks himself to be wise,” Meaning, a person who is . . . ahem . . . rather dim -as I might say, you get the idea- is clearly not intelligent enough to comprehend or recognize that he is, in fact, a fool. “But a man knows himself to be a fool,” This portion of the quote defining the very truth that men are not perfect.
