2 Questions about the Books Wind in the Willows and Moby Dick?
Are they good books?
& are they too young for a fourteen year old to read.. if not, do you think she would enjoy them?

Wait, for a fourteen year old?
I mean Moby Dick is a great book, and it’s definitely a classic, but if I may quote from the movie Adventureland referring to the author Herman Melville, “The guy wrote a 700 page allegorical novel about the whaling industry”. While a fourteen year old would be physically capable of reading and understanding Moby Dick, whether or not they’ll enjoy it or willingly read the book recreationally is another matter.
Once again, don’t get the wrong idea, it is a fantastic 700 page allegorical novel about the whaling industry, filled as it is with stunning prose and great literary depth, but still.
Aside from that, Wind in the Willows would probably be readable and enjoyable for a fourteen year old if they are very big on literature.
