Ron Roy
1983 White Sox squad or 1984 Cubs squad. Who had a better team and why??

1983 WHITE SOX–likes of AL ROY Ron Kittle, Harold Baines, Carlton Fisk, Greg Luzinski, “Dewey” La Marr Hoyt, Richard Dotson, Floyd Bannister, and all the rest.

1984 Cubs–Ryno, Rick Sutcliffe, Jody Davis, Ron Cey, Gary Matthews, Bob Dernier, Lee Smith and all the rest.

I am a White Sox fan, not because of this, but I personally think we had a better team.

Give me your thoughts and reasons for choosing the better of the Chicago teams–either 1983 White Sox or 1984 Cubs.

Also, if You have a memory of either of the teams from these years, I’d like to hear it. Send me an email. Thanks and GO WHITE SOX!!

White Sox are better and were better
The memory I have of the cubs is that they are probably the most pitiful baseball team of the past 100 years. They can’t win anything, they can’t even win their division. The last time they won a world series (1908) hardly anyone was alive to remember it. The cubs owner knows that the cubs suck, therefore continues to let them lose. The cubs will never win a championship, they should maybe be demoted to a AAA team and then maybe they could beat somebody. The cubs suck so bad. Thats what they get for disrespecting the goat. There is no need to build a new stadium in chi town, because it will go another 100 years without seeing a winner come through there. The cubs should go away, and all of chicago should cheer for the White Sox, or if they are really smart, The CARDINALS. Now thats a baseball team. The cardinals are the most successful NL team in history and the cubs choke on all their championship banners.
