What is your take on the Philip Pullman movie – The Golden Compass?
What is your opinoin on the controversial “killing God” motion picture, The Golden Compass? Should people just enjoy the movie and not read so deeply into it? Sould Christians who feel that they can be effected by this movie simply not watch it? Or should it have never been made in the first place?
This movie is a very good movie that has a little religious controversy in it. (and no, it is not a “killing God” motion picture) They make no reference whatsoever to “kill God”. Besides, this takes place in a parallel universe, and in a make-believe book, don’t believe everything you see, or read, for that matter. They should enjoy the movie, but not spend their time saying “Oh no!!! The movie does so and so to God, and says so and so to God”. It’s just a movie. They should watch it, since it is very good, and since it’s very good, making it was a very good idea.
