A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway
That Was Then This Is Now by S. E. Hinton
The Story of My Life Helen Keller

The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Monster by Walter Dean Myers
A Midsummer Night’s Dream by Shakespeare
Libby on Wednesday by Zilpha Keatley Snyder
Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck
A Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
The Story of My Life by Helen Keller
Very touching story of all that she goes through – super good!
That Was Then This Is Now by S.E. Hinton
Story about kids on the streets, the “haves” and the “have nots” and the troubles that each group of kids face. A good read!
Both are easy to read and discuss, and are very rich in symbolism if you have to write about it. they are also great stories! The others are great as well, but these two are the best!
