Does it look bad if your second semester grade drops from your first ?
This is during freshman year. First semester the grade was an A, second, an A-. Does it look bad on a transcript? Or will it not matter that much? When applying to colleges, will they think this is a big deal?
No college look at the letter grade. So the A+ and A- get counted as the same thing. Alot of schools have gone to strictly letter grade so the colleges try to look at this the same as well (although not a schools use the same cut off marks for each grade level). There are two main GPA figures one is a 9 point scale and one is a 4 point scale (up to 5 points with honors classes) Colleges look at your GPA on a 4 point scale and the + and – aren’t figured in. Keep your grades up sounds like your doing well!
