Except all other tales is there any fact matter why a piece of lime is served with a bottle of corona?
To avoid flies and to clean up the rim all these I heard but I also heard that there is some part of mezcal in it so makes your neck dry while drinking so need to get a piece of lime with it, is that true?
None of that is true. When I was at the plant in Mexico City and was invited to lunch, we had beer and no limes. I asked where were the limes? After the laughter died down, the plant manager told me this was a marketing idea to make the product unique and that you did not need a lime. So much for the mystique!
Anyway, I think it does need a lime, just to mask the taste.
