My sister's 10th birthday is coming up in a few weeks, and she has been talking about wanting a sewing machine for months.

She is very into designing and fashion, she's played all the fashion-related video games, read books, gone through every last one of those little fashion craft kits at the stores... I think she's exuberated enough interest in the topic to have earned a sewing machine for her birthday.

The thing is, she's never touched a sewing machine before... and I haven't since 8th grade home ec, which was about 6 years ago. I'm clueless in what kind of sewing machine to get her. There IS a Bratz one for $40, but I'm not sure that's the best choice... it'll probably break in about a week.

I want a good brand for her, as I have a feeling this machine will get a lot of use for a long time from her. Something near the $100 range, give or take a little.

Any suggestions? Something simple to work and learn.

Also, do you think she'll need sewing machine classes?

Not just the movie, but the real ship. I know every single fact. Because of that my friends sometimes think I'm weird when I talk about it. When I get older I hope to be a Titanic historian. I have tons and tons of books. I eventually want to make the exact ship again, and call it the Tritanic. First the Titanic was made then the, Britanic. So now for the third time the Tritanic. When I get older I will prevail in my hopes and dreams. One day, you will here on the news that there will be a exact replica of the Titanic, called the Tritanic, launching from New York, to Cherbourg, Queenstown, and Southhampton. Everyone just thinks it is a phase, but it isn't. I also LOVE the movie. If anyone I know makes fun of it, I get severly angry! I can watch it over and over and over. Still my hopes and dreams for the Titanic, and the Tritanic will come true.

ok let me explain myself:
i have read the entire series.. i love it
i have bought the 2nd and 3rd
and i want to re-read the entire series.. but i don't own the third
it wasn't available at my library and walmart, kmart, and sears [apparently they only sell 2 & 3]
.. no bookstores in town either
i will buy the book tomorrow when i can drive to the town that has barnes and noble
BUT i need to read the 1st book b/c i read the first chapter today out of my friends book, but she was reading it too so shes keeping it
and i just have to read it, like you don't understand, ahh

So, if anyone knows anywhere where you can read like chaps. 3-6 that would be great =]

p.s. i am planing to buy it i just need to read it more until i buy it tomorrow..plz someone

Some people say no because with God on our side we have nothing to fear. But does anyone think that with the upcoming generation loving horror flicks, some Christain out there would be crazy enough to try it? I would, but I am only 14, but I am workin' on it! And what if it started out with a nonbeliver who slowly slips from the Lord and in the time of trouble realizes that the only way that she/he is going to be saved is to turn to the Lord? I've read SO many Christian Horror BOOKS and with everyone making books into movies, can't they just do that with one of those books?
