how can i actually book cheap tickets on ryanair website?
i was looking for a cheap flight from EMA to Girona, yes they are offering a special tickets for £5 right now, but i never ever find them on actual booking process. i check the booking period and travel period on the special price pages, and then search for them as soon as they update offers at around midnight, check every single day in the travel period, none of them is cheaper than £14.99. then why would they say that they have £5 tickets on special offer page? does anyone know what’s happening in cases like this?
Actually, I take advantage of these cheap flight offers and rarely pay over £10 return. The trick is to locate these one way offer fares and match them together as a return journey. Sometimes you can get the offer as a day return (early departure – late return) or a week return, it depends on how well you are able to match these offer 1 way fares and bind them together as your return journey.
The trick to locating these limited offer fares is to begin your journey by using the offer start date in your fare, with the return journey on the same day or a day later.
You would then be presented with the fares on your chosen dates plus any other fares within that week.
If you can’t locate £5.00 within that week you can just simply check next week’s fares, and so on untill you locate them. Match the return journey with an offer price and you’ve got yourself a cheap flight, or the lowest possible.
I have a visa electron, so usually the offer price is all I pay (soon to be diminished and replaced with a pre-card due to availability problems). This in the past has resulted in 2p return flights, which is ridiculous but it is a nice story to tell to your passenger on your next flight!!!
If the offer price is still available then it may be possible to locate these flights, sometimes it might not be on the day you would like it be, but then it is not worth losing.
A day return trip works fine for those commited to work like me.
Remember a surcharge applies on cards except the visa electron (untill the end of december), so you might find yourself paying above the offer price. And don’t apply anything to your fare unless you need to, this can easily jump your fare up.
