What should I take to interview?
I have an interview and the one who is going to take my interview has asked me to bring examples of your past work. This can include a well written email or letter, FAQ’s, help manual, project notes, reports, anything you believe showcases your work.
How can I disclose my companys(present ) work details.Any sugegstions what should I take? Should I take or resume is enough?
I personally used work I had created while working for previous employers in my portfolio. You have no intentions of using those graphics to re-sell or re-use so there is no damage done to your previous employers. They are only samples of your work. I have to say it really got my foot in the door having a portfolio. It really makes you appear put together and besides they are only taking your word for it that you are good until you SHOW them you are!
I did a few different ways to display my work. I made cd's with my portfolio on them. I also made an online portfolio. It's good to have it online for when you are conversing with people online about a job.
I would also take a well written resume (you can also attach them to emails in as a doc file. I normally write two types of resumes depending on the type of employer I was applying for. I wrote one that was a summary of my skills and another was a very long extended version. Depending on who you are applying with the expect different things from you.
Also I carried my resume and portfolio cd in a binder that really made the whole package appear very professional.
I did all this and was able to find a job that made twice the amount I had been making the past. First impressions mean and a lot! You want them to take you serious and know you mean business!
